This client wanted a larger system that could help power their home, charge their vehicles and heat their water using as much solar energy as possible.
The final system included 16 solar panels, 20 kWh of battery storage, 2 x EV chargers and a hot water diverter.

Following a few meetings with the owners regarding their energy requirements, we agreed to install 16 panels and 2 x Tesla batteries on the property - which would cover over 80% of their annual energy usage and would pay for itself within 6 years.
The solar array is now capable of generating 6.7 kWp, and we teamed this up with 20 kWh of battery storage, to ensure none of the renewable power generated goes to waste.
The client also has both an electric and hybrid vehicle, so 2 x EV chargers were installed to help them make the most of their solar production. The system also allows them to benefit from cheaper overnight electricity rates when needed, with battery storage helping to manage usage more efficiently.
The final piece of this puzzle was the hot water diverter we fitted. This enables the client to benefit from 'free' hot water, heated with any excess energy that is produced by the solar panels, once the house and batteries are taken care of.
And once the hot water is done? Then they're earning money selling their true excess energy back to the grid.
