The owner of Pear Tree Farm had an interesting dilemma. They knew they wanted to benefit from a cheaper, greener solar energy solution — but as their home is listed, they needed a sensitive approach that worked within the planning constraints.
They came to Lanman Solar to explore the best way forward.

We solved the issue by designing, building and installing a bespoke ground mount system, which we built on some unused land they had on their grounds.
We then installed 32 solar panels on the ground-mounted system, capable of producing 13.4kWp.
To preserve the beautiful setting of the house, we managed to tuck the ground mount system away from the main part of the house, in an area of their garden people rarely visited. Although we still think the bespoke ground-mounted system looks rather beautiful regardless!
In addition to the solar array, we also installed three batteries and an EV charger, helping the client cover much of their electricity and vehicle charging needs from solar energy alone.
