Lanman Solar wins Start-Up of the Year at the East Anglian Business Awards 2025
We’re incredibly proud to announce that Lanman Solar has been awarded Start-Up of the Year at the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards 2025.
To be recognised in this way — among so many brilliant businesses helping to power Suffolk forward — is a huge honour for our whole team. It’s a milestone that validates not just the work we’ve done since launching in 2022, but the values we’ve stuck to along the way.
"An impressive business with clear-cut goals"
In the official winners’ supplement, (published in the East Anglian Daily Times and online too which you can see here), the judges praised Lanman Solar as:
“An impressive business with clear-cut goals and an ability to innovate to suit its market... it has decided not to run with the pack and distinguishes itself by aiming at all times to deal with customers with integrity.”
This feedback hits the nail on the head. Since day one, our mission has been clear:
To bring honest, high-quality renewable energy solutions to homes and businesses across East Anglia.
That means doing things properly — not rushing installs, not chasing volume, but building long-term trust with our customers and delivering systems that genuinely work for them.
Celebrating a moment — and looking to the future
The awards night at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall was a fantastic evening of celebration. Hosted by the hilarious Paul Sinha (from 'The Chase' on TV), it brought together an incredible range of local businesses — from start-ups and family firms to long-standing Suffolk institutions.

Our MD, Greg Newman, reflected:
“This recognition means so much to the whole team and is real validation for all the hard work that’s gone in since we started the company in 2022.”

We were also delighted to receive a letter from our local MP, Patrick Spencer, congratulating the team and acknowledging the important role renewable energy will play in Suffolk’s future.
"Suffolk is leading the way in renewable technology... and you should be proud of the contribution you're making to this progress."
— Patrick Spencer MP, Central Suffolk and North Ipswich
